Apple-centered capabilities

Apple & iCloud

Useful Apple services today, and a clear distinction between ordinary service links and authenticated integrations.

iCloud apps

These open genuine Apple web services. They do not give this website or its Council backend access to your Apple Account.

iCloud Drive

Your documents in Apple's browser. For selected documents, the Files picker is the usable privacy-first bridge.

Open iCloud Drive

Photos

View your library on Apple. Council access needs an explicit Photos picker or native Photos permission.

Open iCloud Photos

Mail

Use iCloud Mail under your own Apple login. Council mailbox access has not been granted.

Open iCloud Mail

Calendar & Reminders

Use iCloud web apps; native two-way integration requires a signed app and EventKit permission.

Calendar · Reminders

Contacts & Notes

Keep personal records under your Apple Account. There is no deployed general-purpose Council scanner for them.

Contacts · Notes

Pages, Numbers & Keynote

Open Apple's document editors; share/export chosen documents via their normal controls.

On-device Apple features

Files & Share Sheet

Browser-local file picker source deployed

Select a text document from Files/iCloud Drive and inspect it without upload. A native Share Sheet receiving data in a Council app requires a signed app extension.

Shortcuts & Siri

Native integration pending

AppleRAVEN has existing Mac-native device-provider patterns. For Thembi, Shortcuts, App Intents and Siri integration need her authorized device, tested Apple app or Shortcut and explicit grants.

CloudKit synchronization

Not configured

CloudKit syncs data in a developer's app-specific container, not arbitrary personal iCloud Drive or Notes contents. Requires valid developer entitlements, schema and app/user configuration.

Apple Music

MusicKit authentication required

MusicKit can access the authorized user's library and playback on web/Apple platforms once configured with developer identity, permissions and subscription eligibility.

More Apple destinations

  • Apple Maps: Open Maps; mapping/navigation links are functional without unrestricted location access.
  • Find My: Open Find My in Apple's own session; no remote tracking or device-control grant is implied.
  • Apple TV: Open Apple TV; no universal private playback-library connector is configured.
  • FaceTime / Messages: use device-native user-initiated calls and messaging; the public Council page sends nothing.
  • HomeKit / Home: native HomeKit entitlements and owner-granted accessory permissions are required for real control.
  • Health / Fitness: native HealthKit permission is required for personal health records; no automatic access through a website.
  • Passwords / iCloud Keychain: kept inside Apple system controls. Never export keychains or hand credentials to cloud MCP.
  • iCloud Backup: manage through device Settings. CloudKit and a website do not provide browsing of personal device backups.

Working Apple-friendly tools — local to this browser

Create a calendar import file, a Contacts card, an Apple Maps lookup or a Mail compose link. These use the device's own apps after you choose to open them. Nothing is sent to THEMBIcouncil or iCloud automatically.

Actual AppleRAVEN functionality available for reuse

The live AppleRAVEN Mac provider catalog contains established capability groups for iCloud-aware Files, Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Mail, Messages, Photos, Music, Safari and Shortcuts. It also exposes device and permission status checks.

Those tools run under the currently authorized Mac user's operating-system permissions. They cannot be treated as access to Thembi's Apple Account, Windows laptop, iPhone or iPad. Integration into her private Council requires an independently verified endpoint and account-specific grants.

Integration boundaries

Available now in the deployed site: official Apple links, user-initiated Files/iCloud Drive text-document selection, downloadable local calendar/contact files, Maps/Mail handoffs and source-backed instructions. Independent browser-device acceptance is pending.

Requires additional implementation: Sign in with Apple identity, CloudKit container sync, MusicKit user data, EventKit, Photos/Share extensions, App Intents, HealthKit, HomeKit and any remote device executor.

AppleRAVEN's owner-only Mac credentials cannot be transplanted into THEMBIcouncil; reuse its provider contract and onboarding approach with Thembi's own account and grants.
